Finally got the new Textpattern based site completely operational. Now to comb back through my articles and notes and links and every other thing, and add categories. And actually try and write a paragraph and not just tinker.

There is a particular smell to paper that has sat in a room for thirty years. It is not quite dust, not quite vanilla, not quite decay. It is the smell of time having done its work quietly.

I opened a paperback this morning and was immediately ten years old again, reading on the floor of my grandmother’s house.

Spent the afternoon configuring a completely clean installation of Textpattern 4.9. Dear NBA and MLB and every other pro sports league: You are going to begin to lose families as viewers if you can't reign in the sheer overwhelming quantity of SPORTS BETTING advertisements in your content. It is getting ridiculous and out of hand. They are trying to hook the next generation on gambling, and you are all complicit. I want to help my kids appreciate sport - but not gambling.
